My Antique Hay Rake

Believe it or not, around 15 years ago I actually used this to rake some hay and it did a decent job, although it left big round ends since you couldn't turn so sharp and roll the hay back over onto itself like a modern rake can do. I'm in the process of cleaning up and selling out so am getting rid of lots of old "stuff" and even though that old Case rake on steel was more for looks and a conversation piece then actual use, I sort of hate to see her go lol

Hay John T. Shoot me an email. I think I might be interested in buying it for putting back in field. It is a Case 170 rake.

John, you are a ways farther southwest than I thought you were so It would put me in a 6 hour one way range so I think the distance would kill me being able to get there. I live at Wapakoneta, Oh and the person that would be interested in it is at Berne, In. The price we would have no problem but it is just the distance. If we could get it here the asking price when it got on the person that I buy for on his lot he would have it at $750 to $800. Thanks any ways. If you don't get it to a good home later might still be interested. I would just have to get a motel room as I could not drive that far in one day.

May just do that, maybe some good ol boy outside of Bartow Florida would toss me out an extension cord and a water hose and keys to his shop so I could park my RV there for a while??? ID DO IT FOR HIM if things were reversed.

I think I have one that looks just like it and I thought mine was a John Deere. I better go look.

Yeah and another bad thing about those side delivery hay rakes, they are so awkward and difficult to load and haul on a trailer as they are like 10 feet wide anyway you load them lol Its no big deal, its just been sitting there so many years its time to go. I owned it so long I have no idea when and where I ever bought it but Im sure it was at an auction somewhere at a low price lol??

This one has a big CASE right on the angle drive gear box. If you look at the add below there are a bunch of pictures.
