Descaling a hot water pressure washer

I have neglected my hot water steam pressure washer. Have a little extra time now and would like some ideas on how to procede other than buying a new coil. I am sure it has a lot of buildup of iron, calcium, magnesium, sulphur, and any thing else in hard water.
Still works pretty good, but I would like to try to do some remedial descaling. I was thinking about using full strength sodium hypochlorite and recycling. Any suggestions are apprecoiated.

That's just bleach , won't do much . Get some muriatic acid from HD or Lowes , and dilute it maybe a quart to a gallon of water and run that thru it , that's what we used at work in steam cleaners ....

What does the manufacturer recommend. I'm sure that they would like to sell you a new one, but they may be able to get a recommendation from them to take care of your problem.

We used CLR off the tv ads to clean ours. Capped the bottom off poured it in and let it set for 2hrs. We did that till it ran clean.

Brings back memories of the plugging steam cleaner. Muriatic acid was the answer but it can get kind of violent. Last steamer we had we could let it recirculate until it quit reacting and then rinse good.
