I changed both the transmission filters in my 2004 grand cherokee, cleaned the pan, put pan back on and now it will not go into gear at all. I used atf +4 transmission fluid (5 quarts) and it reads full cold. it was giving codes indicating fluid pressure low. i did not do anything else (tighten nuts, bolts or anything else). I do not know if i need to let it run longer or what. the check engine light is on and I have not checked the code lately. could it have a sensor telling the computer it was low on fluid when I had the pan off, even though the the ignition was not on(no key in ignition)? any ideas? I have changed transmission filters on other cars without problems.
