Northern tool pressure washer

I got tired of spending $100 every year for a 110v pressure washer, after owning four different brands and having them play out in a year or less. So I bought one with a Cat4DNX (120v) pump last spring and used it through the summer with no problem. Then I winterized it like the book recommends and put it up for the winter. My project for this week was to pressure wash both tractors, but when I hooked up the hoses and started the washer, the tip leaks a large volume around the nozzle tip. It has quick-change fittings similar to an air hose, so I took the female end apart expecting to find an o-ring to seal the outer collar, but it's brass-on-brass. There must be an o-ring that seals the end of the nozzle tip. I imagine the small-engine-type washers use this kind of tip adapter on their wands. Has anybody had to replace the o-ring?

Thanks, Bob. You're right. When I took my led flashlight with me to the shop, I could see inside the coupling. There's a groove for the o-ring, but there was not one in it. I found one that fit the nozzle base in my o-ring assortment and worked it into the groove. That solved the problem. I'm happy with my pressure washer again.
