So guys some of you know that I have a 51 Chevy pickup. Well, ive got a T5 5 Spd thats going inplace of the original 4 spd. Im scrapping the 4 spd amd the torque-tube rearend for a S10 blazer rearend. I cant get under the 51 to measure the bolt hole pattern so im hoping someone on here has a older chevy pickup tranny laying around that could measure the bolt pattern amd post it here. Need the TOP bolt hole spacing and the BOTTOM bole hole spacing. Thanks.

GM/Muncie used the same 4-bolt pattern from the 40's through the 90's.

If your engine is original, your bellhousing will not have threaded holes at the bottom location due to the original bolts coming through from the inside. Hassel dealing with nuts and bolts, but doable. Do not scrap your SM420 trans, they are popular with the Jeep crowd due to low gearing and short length. FYI, a T5 is really not rated for the weight of that vehicle, it may not have a long life. If you were to swap in a V8, a NV3500 would be a much better choice.
