A tool/clip to tie chicken wire together?

Well not chicken wire, but galvanized hardware cloth like welded wire together. Made/making round 24" high anti rabbit cages for new trees and for years I have used both black and white plastic wire ties, but UV stability is not good. Was looking for a clinching tool like a hog ringer but smaller, possibly removeable clips. Did not want to use bits of baling wire as that method is time consuming.Ia Leo

I wonder if upholstery shops have something smaller than hog ringers? How about using split drain tile instead of hardware cloth?

GOT WHAT YOU NEED!! Go to Harbor Freight and buy the METAL zip ties. They do not cost that much and they work very nicely and are strong! Cut off extra with a pare of side dikes.

Got a Bomgaars store near by, just bought a package of the J style the guys are talking about. Just look at any store that sells cages. chris

Thanks folks! I did not know what to search for, and now I know. Looks promising. IaLeo

Gosh dang, I like that. I always use different thickness baling wire and a pair or two of fencing pliers. Gosh dang, with them won't even need to cut wire and probably can get away with one pair of fencing pliers. You know what my problem is? Me. I get into my head what I need, and nothing else. I go straight to the supply and what I need, grab it and head to the cash register without looking at anything else. Get in, get out, and leave. I probably walked by them things a 1,000 times and never even seen them. Now I gotta go look for them...and nothing else.

Thank you Sir.
