John Deere or Homelite 300 CHAINSAW

Traded for this and failed to realize it is basically a Homelite 300. It has been years since I worked on a Homelite and had no experience with the plastic ones.
Anyhow, I need to remove the clutch and this one has a retaining nut. It is nylex and is flush with the crank threads. ALL chainsaws I have worked on have LH thread. 90% sure this is LH but it won't budge.
Don't want to twist the crank!
Can anyone tell me for certain it is LH thread?

I know when I had to put a new bar oil pump on my Poulan, it was left hand thread and I stopped the crank from turning by removing the spark plug and feeding some rope down the plug hole.

Very carefully look at the threads on the end of the crank shaft and see if it is left hand. Don't think so. If the flywheel is on the left side of the machine it should be right hand tread. Rotation of engine tries to tighten the nut. Clutch would be left hand. Use an air gun.
