Oliver Clertrac BGS thermostat

Can any one help I have a Oliver BGS bulldozer that does not have a thermostat I would like to know how the thermostat is held in place in the housing does it have a type of cage or is it held in place by a spring. I have a parts book that has a thermostat listed but no drawings on the relative parts

Jonathan,

BG uses a thermostat with a big base and a rubber gasket

top . Lately manufactures have been using a typical t'stat

with a brass spacer to hold the t'stat and the rubber on top.

Here is a photo of the later one.
