Still having trouble with my farm security camera , batteries last no longer than two weeks now . Previously they went for months before needing replacement . I have checked for any obvious shorts and bent contacts but nothing is evident . Any thoughts on which component within the circuit board might be the culprit ?

Is the cam motion sensitive? Are you getting more pictures than you did before esp of nothing? Might be that
something grew and is moving in the breeze and triggering it. Just a guess...

(quoted from post at 13:01:50 04/19/15) How dry is the area? Maybe just moisture. Maybe spray it with WD40.

Good suggestion Dusty , the district the farm is in has a saying '' It rains here for six months , then drips off the trees for the rest of the year ''
Yes very damp , I may try a non conductive silicon spray .
There are a few plants in the line of sight and these do sway a little Chris , thing is it doesn't take photos of them ,so they may not be the problem .
This is really annoying , I suppose the next move is a new camera .

Probably isn't going to sleep. Problem with sleeping is that some times they don't want to wake up. They are far from fool proof. I have all three of mine running on aux wet cell batteries. Only bought one new battery as I picked up a couple old ones that work fine for a camera. One of my camera's will fill a 2 gig card in one night when it gets cold. Setting in down to low sensitivity helps a little but not much. I quit using that one in the winter.
