Husky sockets

Hi, Just picked up a set of 1/4 inch drive Husky sockets with two missing 5/16s and the next smallest. The question is what size is next smaller than 5/16s?

Depends on if the set goes by 1/16 or by 32nds. If by 1/16 it would be a 1/4 inch. If by 32nd it would be 9/32

FYI: Was in LOWES yesterday & they had both SAE & metric on sale for $5.00 for a set of 10. Quarter inch drive KOBALT

I was in High School when I bought my first tool set. It contained Husky 3/8 and 1/2 sockets plus the rachets. I still have both rachets and all the sockets - good tools. That was some 50 years ago.

Sorry to hear some are missing from your set.

Maybe this'll help. These are 6 point, but a standard size charateristic

1/4" Drive 6 Point Socket 9/16"
1/4" Drive 6 Point Socket 1/2"
1/4" Drive 6 Point Socket 7/16"
1/4" Drive 6 Point Socket 3/8"
1/4" Drive 6 Point Socket 9/32"
1/4" Drive 6 Point Socket 1/4"
1/4" Drive 6 Point Socket 5/16"
1/4" Drive 6 Point Socket 11/32"
1/4" Drive 6 Point Socket 3/16"
1/4" Drive 6 Point Socket 7/32"

1/4", 9/32", 5/16", 11/32".

9/32 is a VERY important size if a guy is going to work in the dashboard and instrument panel of vehicles up to the metric era, especially GM and Chrysler.

Bob,

Only a 9/32 would work on the starter connections of a Dodge powered Winnebaga RV. Trust me when I say I was glad to have the wrench, laying in two iches of puddled rain and getting the connections tight.
