Three point questions

I'd like to buy or find plans for building a three point attachment that I can mount planters and such to. Not looking for a receiver hitch like I can find. But something that has a bar to bolt on planters or mount a seat with a tee and shaft. I would like to have this as a base for other parts to work off of. Has to be cat 1 and heavy duty. I know what I'm looking for but can't find it because I don't know what it's called. Any help?

Thanks I've seen them but not what I'm looking for. They are the receiver hitch type and not exactly what I'm searching for. I've attached (I hope) what I hope is some idea what I am looking for. I need the a frame with cat 1 points and a long tool bar affixed like the waterwheel planter pictured. I'd like to add in the seats as well. I'd like to get some plans for building the 3 point like that idea. Does that help?

Can you find an old 3pt cultivator? I have one with a tool bar and bolt on gangs, used for cultivating row crops like corn, dry beans, etc. Would be a good base for your planter. Most manufacturers had something like it. Mine is MF, but looks a lot like a JD.

I built toolbars for my JD 70s, and my sprayer. The sprayer used 2"square tube for the T frame, and 1/4" strapping for the top link connection. The lower lift points attach to some heavy angle. On the planter toolbar, the same strap was used for the top link and lower lift points. I had some pieces of 1/4" plate used to connect the two pieces of the tool bar. Mark

Here is a simple version that I use for a number of implements , seen here with a tipping bucket . Best photo I have unfortunately . The advantage of the two parallel bars spaced slightly is that the attachment uses simple bolts and flat plates .

I don't think any of us understand what you are calling a reciever hitch type. Any tool bar unless they are for the Farmall fast hitch or the Allis snap coupler are 3 point hitch and avaible in cat. 1, 2 & 3 sizes. The only thing I can think of that you are calling a reciever hitch is the sleeve hitch used on early riding garden tractors like the old 129 Cub Cadet.

Thank you guys for the ideas. I'll look them over and see what works. The JD planter looks fantastic. Wish we had 71 planters around here. Only know of one a farmer had. He's since past away and I have no idea where it went. It's close to
what I'm looking for. I'll use your idea and mod it to mine. Thanks

Leroy, I was referring to the receiver hitch as the place a 2" receiver with ball goes. I don't need that and anywhere
I looked had only that. I did another search yesterday with another wording and found what I was looking for. I just
had to use the correct words to get the right search.

Thanks again guys for the help.

Nice job on both of them! I like your pump storage post - mine always involved some baling wire to keep it up out of the dirt.

I don't understand why this is so difficult. Any implement dealer in row-crop country should have a back lot full of old toolbars. I suppose much of the old cat 1 stuff has been shipped down to South America, but there are outfits making new category 1 toolbars:
