Broke my snap ring pliers from Harbor Freight. Bad news, I need to go to HF to return/replace. Good news I get to go to HF! A real win-win thing! It was my fault, I was using the little pins on a big clip, should have used the big pin attachment.

I went to HF yesterday. Bought a set of hex drive drill bits and two 6-inch screw woodworking clamps. I like those blue clamps better than the name brand clamps at the box stores.

Some tools from HF are ok, but thats not one of them. Its false economy to fight a junk tool for a job that requires quality steel. KD tools makes decent snap ring tools, and they are cheaper than snapon.

I'd suggest getting the channel lock snap ring pliers. They are $20ish bucks and American made. I can't imagine that harbor freight would be better or so off on price that those wouldn't be worth it. They are lifetime warranty too.
