Enamel reducer for unclogging a cataclysmic converter

I once heard a rumor that enamel reducer mixed in a gas tank and burned for fuel could possibly clean out a partially clogged catalytic converter. I always thought it to be nonsense. Anyone ever try it?

Seems I remember reading some articles and watching some videos years ago guys trying different brews to clean up converters, never got any positive results that lasted more than a heat cycle or two and in a couple cases was killing the downstream O2 sensor.

If the catalytic convertor is plugged up, you have 2 choices. Either replace it, or eliminate it. If there is an O2 sensor downstream of it, you have only 1 choice. Replace it.
