In a week we'll be in the 60's

Looks like spring may arrive in a week. Now we are below 0, snow on the ground. A week form today, predicting 60's.

Wonder how long the warming trend will last?

With temperature swings like this, look out, sooner or later we're going to get high winds, trees come down, power outages. One spring lost power for about 10 days. There were so many trees down, it took almost a week to be able to drive down the road.

With spring comes spring storms regardless of the type of winter. At least it has been that way as long as my 76 year old memory can recall. I'll have to as my 98 year old mother is she remembers it any different. :)^D

Hello Geo-TH,In,

You may think so, but I just came in from a 2 hrs shoveling escapade. 8 Inches plus drifts! So much for cabin fever. Got a couple of hours to finish up. My garden is not ready for planting, HA!HA!

In a week, I'll still be plowing/blowing/shoveling snow. More storms to come.

Wont see any green here for a long while yet.

I was born in the summer of love "67" so I don't remember the 60's much if any...sounds hip, cool and groovy to me man... lol... peace mtp...

This was Monday March 2, 2015 when I first started shoveling off my shed roof, I finished today Thursday March 6, 2015.

We're supposed to hit maybe 40° next week!

Guido,
What's a shovel? Either I push or plow it when it's 8 inches, a shovel??? Shovels can give you a heart attack. Doesn't everyone have a tractor?

Ya you was born too late, I graduated from high school in 67 and don't remember much of it but I know some of it was fun, a lot of it was fun.

Hello Geo-TH,In,

Its in the picture with a red handle. Hard to use the machine on steps. Even harder with a tractor HA!HA! I should have stated that the event was also made a bit easy throwing snow with a gas powered machine,

It was weird here in the Puget Sound region of western Washington, seeing the news reports of the terrible winter storms that have been affecting the eastern half (or two thirds?) of the country with no letup from one storm to the next, and we've had the warmest winter on record. So far, our winter has been like a cooler than normal spring. We never did have any snow, and only a couple of weeks where daytime temperatures didn't get above freezing. Everything has been in blossom since late February. People have been mowing their lawns. It's like northern California. The bad news is that all the cities that depend on snow pack in the Cascades for their water (every city from north of Everett to south of Tacoma) are going to be on emergency water rationing for months. The central Cascades didn't get any snow either. It only rained there too. Still, I prefer it to power outages and being snowed in.
