Making my own clock??????

I want to make my own clock & I see that there are lots of clock mechanism for sale from $5-$25 Does anyone have any recommendations for a good reliable clock mechanism. I don't need a second hand just minutes & hours. Thanks Gerald

I've made a few clocks, but that was a long time ago. I don't remember what unit I used but I bought them from a place that has a web site. www.clockkit.com

Hobby Lobby has them. As I recall they weren't expensive, either.

Here is a website that has all kinds of clock kits. My late father-in-law used them a lot.

Probably 35 years ago I saw a clock made out of wood. All of the working mechanism pieces. It used a weight for power. I think it wouldn't run very long without the weight being raised again.
