They replaced the battery with reversed polarity. Charger is working fine. Charges both batteries.

This person is cheap, only bought one battery.

Will post back when he replaces the second battery.

Without seeing the situation, I can only speculate that there is more to this we know. Like one of the 2 batteries may be used for boat lights, fish finder, air pump and they were left on, drained the battery. Only guessing, but I bet there is more to the problem.

I always say there is one more side to a story than the total people involved, their sides and the truth.

Did he discharge it and then charge it the way it should be? Just curious, had a service call that the guy had one the same way. But didn't realize it until I got back to the shop, but he had to go. chris

I wasn't there. He just went to town and bought a new battery.

The retired people in Florida have a saying when things break, IT JUST ANOTHER $100. When it comes to Pool repairs they may say, IT JUST ANOTHER $1000 or 2.

Pools are a hole in the ground you put water in. Boats make a hole in the water. Both are holes you throw money in.

Had both, Happy when I got them. Happier when I got rid of them.

I am running a large Interstate battery in my old 75 Dodge truck, that my boy charged up reverse. It was totally dead, and he put the charger on it wrong, and walked off for 2 days. He tried to use it in his old ford, and the sparks flew. I gave him the battery out of the Dodge, and put his reversed battery in the Dodge, out of couriousity, and it still cranks the old truck up. Been about 3 months now.
