Need Ideas for Pickup Tool Box mounting

I just traded up from an 07 Chevy with a flatbed hauler body to a 13 Chevy with a regular shortbed pickup body. I grew to dislike the flatbed for a number of reasons and am glad to have a regular bed back. However, I have two 36" Montezuma triangle shape tool boxes that I absolutely love and cant be without on my truck. They worked great mounted on the front of each side of the flatbed without interfering with the gooseneck hitch.
On the new truck, I am thinking of trying to mount them on some type of tray that can stay locked in place at the cab but slide out to the end of the tailgate when needed. The truck has a B@W hitch mounted already in the bed.
Does anyone have any pics of something similar that they have done or any ideas of a better way to mount that kind of tool box that wont interfere with towing and visibility?
Thanks!

Could a rail be installed to hang beneath the top edge of the box so you could slide it back toward the tailgate area for ease of use... but have a mechanism to lock it in place right behind the cab when you're not using it?

That way you would not have some rail system messing up the floor of your truck bed.

A redneck would mount a piece of barn door track and trolley"s and drop a bolt in a drilled hole to lock the toolbox to the front....and have a roller under the box. Or maybe anchor to a post in the stake pocket, with an inner tube!

How about a piece of steel across the front of the bed and then a swivel under he boxes to swing them out to the side. I know clear as mud. Both boxes would be against the cab facing the rear and locked down, pull a pin and swing them out to the side, one on the right and one on the left. Or just bolt them on the front corner of the bed with a chunk of flat steel facing out.

I have one, and it is a great toolbox. I put in a rubber bed mat and set it in the back facing the tailgate. It is handy and never moves
