The question of torque adapters and their effect on torque just came up again. Here is why they do change the final torque applied.

Gab,

Without putting a ton of thought into that setup,
I think the effective length would measure length of the hypotenuse of the triangle created.

Hypotenuse would be marginally longer that the torque wrench handle.
