My cure for cabin fever

I needed to have a sick tree removed at a rental property. This time I told my tree service I wanted him to do a cut and run. He cuts the tree down and runs. I'll clean up the mess, saving me $450.

Put an ad on craigslist, got rid of half the fire wood yesterday. Neighbor wants the other half.

Used my generator and electric chains saw to cut off all the small branches, sticks. I took my landscape rake and pushed the sticks in to a pile yesterday.

Today I put forks on the terramite and in 3 scoops the 10k dump trailer was full. It took me more time to strap the load than it did to load it.

Feels good to stay active, not to mention feels even better to save $450.

From now on, all my tree work will be cut and run jobs.

I need to stay active. This wasn't work. More like fun. Good tractor therapy cures cabin fever all the time.

I wish I could see the ground, then I would go and work in the woods too. I've got firewood to cut and logs to cut and mill 2-3 feet of snow on the ground and 0 degrees for a high here and I don't have enough gumption to go out and get to work.

If I had snow, I would have something to do. Get on tractor and remove it.

So far this winter 1 1/2 inches of snow, total. So much for a ground hogs predictions. Winter by passed me this year.

I like it better on the forks vs a 3 pt. You can
see what you are doing. You can add down force if
needed to keep large branches from rolling under
the rake. I can pick the rake up, tilt the bucket
up, put the rake on the ground, back up and remove
sticks stuck in the rake.

And I made the adapter to attach to forks with
scrap metal. Cheap is always a good thing. Free is
better.

Don't you you mean west central Indiana? The Terre Haute,IndianaI know of is on I-70 about 15 to 20 miles from ILL. Indiana state line.

Why didn' you just start a small fire out of the small limbs and invite your neighbors over for a hotdog roast and barley pop party. Would have been a lot easier and a LOT more fun.
