Electric motor start switch eliminate

Couple weeks age I ask about electric motor not starting and found start switch was bad. I took to shop and they said they couldn't get replacement switch. Then someone mentioned that a hard start kit would work to eliminate the start switch. Today I bought a EPR ERPP6 hard start. Now I need help how to wire it up.

Took almost a minute to google and post here.

I googled before I ask for help and I found that. It doesn't tell me anything. Those instructions are for a compressor. I'm wanting to use this for 5HP electric motor with a start and a run cap. Should I remove the start cap on the motor now? I'm not a electric motor guru and I need help that those instructions don't explain. Can anyone guide me through this?

The hard start does not eliminate the mechanical starter switch. The hard start just adds more capacitive phase shift of the start winding for magnetic field that is both stronger and has greater angle for more mechanical advantage to lever the motor over.
For a single phase motor that bauks at starting a load. I either add a start capacitor if it doesn't have one. Or double or even triple the uf rating of the factory start cap.

Here is the starter switch catalog.

It will and does work without mechanical start switch. I went in and connected the wires from the mechanical start switch together and connected the hard start to where the start cap was.

I'm not 100% sure what is wired and how. As long as the start windings are not carrying current once the motor is up to speed. It should be good.
