This sounds gross

Believe it or not, the place I use for odd ball stuff is, Acme bolt and nut co in Detroit. Have pretty much anything I have ever needed. Let me know if you can't find them and I'll check.maybe 12 miles away from me.I get my # and letter drill bits there too. Really cheap. Need to make a trip anyway.

The RH thread ones should be easy to find. The LH ones may be a challenge !
Some of the compact tractors used long rods with turnbuckles and jamb nuts RH & LH to lock then in place. Maybe you can stumble across some at a dealership.
Also a thought maybe a farm store would have a turnbuckle you could buy cheap just to get the jamb nuts off it.

If you have a Fastnal store in your area you may be able to buy them without buying a whole box. Make sure they are not metric as most small grinders are made in China and they use metric on everything

Try the DEERE dealer. Mine has both in stock.

1/2-20 X .323 thick - 14H856 @ $.82.

1/2-20 X .323 thick LH - 14H881 @2.45.

Don't worry, you are not alone, our current CIC has the same problem. Most fastener outlets have a minimum quantity to order, have you tried writing to the manufacturer?

Our local True Value hardware store stocks 1/2" fine thread left handed nuts that fit my grinder. Right hand thread should be available about anywhere.

1/2-20 right hand is available at most hardware and large lumber yard hardware sections. left hand I would suggest using a wheel lug nut from a car /pickup that used left hand such as Chrysler/dodge ect. turn nut so flat side is against grinding wheel flange and taper cone is to outside. could also use lug nut on right hand side if it is easier to obtain at auto parts supplier like napa, autozone, oreilly

You act like this is a big deal. 3 second search in the 'business and industrial' section of Ebay and I found them. 1/2-20 LH jam nuts.

get'em off an old burnt up unit. Everybody has one laying around the shop. Or a junkyard.
