Drain your compressor.

I did some remodeling work or should say help a guy with some work on his house, the things he couldn't do. For the two weeks I was there every evening without fail the guy would let the pressure out on his smudgepot compressor. After watching him do this for two weeks I finally got the nerve up to ask him why he did that and he told me the directions said to drain the compressor.

I drain mine once a year, get about 4 oz of oily snot. Then I top off the oil in the compressor, which is a V2
Chrysler air conditioner compressor. Been doing this for 25 years.
