It's alive!

Actually got it working, everything but the keyboard... Plugged in a remote keyboard and it worked, so I think the other one is still wet. It's out in the sun, I'll try it again in a day or two.

Thanks!

Excellent, you might be able to disassemble the keyboard and dry it out. I was resigning from a job years ago, typing my resignation on the company laptop when I spilled a beer in it. LOL They had to love that one. hehe.

WOW! Small world. I knew a guy who was also typing a resignation on a company laptop. He finished the beer without spilling it but then accidentally urinated on the keyboard.

I might try the rice & bag treatment. The keyboard appears to be glued together, no way to open it up without breaking something. It probably has water trapped inside, maybe even sugar goo. I had to rinse it in the sink to free up the keys. It feels good now, none of the keys are physically stuck, but under the membrane could be a different story!

Thanks!

I dozed off couple weeks ago and spilled a bowl of cereal on mine never did the keyboard working had to put new keyboard in it.

I tell you another trick you can do to hopefully dry it out. You can heat your oven to the lowest setting, which I think would be 200 degrees. Put it on a cook sheet for an hour or so and that should drive out the last of the moisture.
