Solved flashlight problem

We discussed the small LED flashlight that Harbor Freight sells and gives away on coupons.

I noticed that a couple of them went dim, so I pulled out the battery cartridge and tested the batteries, which all tested normal voltage.

Then I pulled the batteries, took a small pick tool and pried the + contact out just a little to make sure the batteries were making contact.

With 3 batteries making contact, the flashlights are now as bright as they are supposed to be.

I have a bunch of those type flashlights. Not from HF but a local Farm and home store. I have found when dim you tap on them and they brighten up. I pick them up for $1.25 each and the yare handy little lights but do not stand up good to being dropped. Guess how I know that

I've got at least one in every chore coat - sometimes two, if I get things mixed up. Best thing that ever came out of China.

You'd think that you guys would be complaining that they're not made to military specifications for what you paid.
