My small projects seem to mushroom

Back in the fall, I bought a Myers 6' snow plow that had framework to mount on a tractor. I rebuilt it to fit my Case 440.
There was a retirement auction here locally (very big Cub Cadet dealer), I ended up wining one of 7 new-in-box 4post ROPS which fit a CC side-by-side. I decided that I would build mounts to install it onto my 440. Did that, THEN, thought I could install a salvaged windshield glass out of another Case cab. Built a boltin frame and installed the used glass. THEN, I knew that I had another salvaged window with frame stashed away that would make a back window. After mounting that in, the original fenders wern't cutting the mustard, SOOO then it was time for sides. I have acess to all the steel Kubota shipping crates that I can use. (lots of nice square and rectangular tubing, angle iron and flat stock. I also had a lot of salvaged sheet metal.
THEN, I had to move the remote levers, the range shift lever, and the brake lock lever. The pics show what I made from all my stached junk.
The only thing left now is to cut and fit the ineterior cab padding to suppress the noise a bit and make the inside look like a factory cab.

Very nice job Loren! You do excellent work! That looks factory made - I've been wondering how that project was going, ever since I saw it in the background of your welding table pictures. Speaking of background - someday when you have time, tell us about that logging winch in the background of the first picture.

I watched this project from the start and I'm very impressed. Watching you find solutions to each problem as it came up was great fun for me. Your engineering and fabricating skills are second to none.

LOL!!!! (hopefully I did not misspell your name above)

I looked for your posts on the Case forum just because of this, was great to see it progress from the beginning.

The great things about what you built, are the exhibition of your metal working skills and the foresight when looking at the multiple components you sourced, some from existing stock and others from that auction or elsewhere. Having the ability to visualize and or mock something up like this in your head, certainly demonstrates what a person can do. As you have shown us, some of the work done during the build was as you went too, so you had to improvise, adapt, innovate etc. !!!

I think part of equation is having some stock to work from spare parts, scrap or junk piles, auction lots and so on. Its great when you can see the possibilities in these things long before they ever take shape.

Loren, great work !!!

PS- they just left the back door open in the mid west somewhere, brr..... you'll need that cab for sure now!

That is a really nice job! I would like to joke and asy it would look better on a Ford, but it looks so good I cant even joke with you,,,really nice job,,,nice tractor too!!!

Fantastic job.
I just started shivering while looking at your cab just thinking about getting on an open tractor in the morning to do chores.
