Where are you guys buying your wiring and terminals from? Paid local parts store $6 for 8 foot of 10 gauge today, and that's not going to happen again!

I just found this site recently as I was looking for some solder on battery cable ends to make new cables out of welding cable and a friend recommended them to me.
I haven't ordered from them yet but probably will.
He has bought from them several times and had good luck with them

I bought about $1000 of wire and terminals from Waytek several years ago. Money well spent, but it's getting to be time to restock some terminals.

I've ordered from Waytek, and DelCity both over the years. If I remember correctly, Waytek usually has slightly better prices on the wiring items, but DelCity usually has a little better price, and selection on the tools.

Snip wire from junkers in a junk yard. You'll have enough wire for the next 15 years for $10.

They have the weather paks which make other types of terminals obsolete.

I have boxes of wire that I've scraped from AC's. washer/dryers cords are 10g and larger, old extension cords, refrigerators, ranges. I rarely buy new wire, except for house wiring.

As for terminals, once a year there is a large covered bridge festival. I buy terminals by the bags of 50-100, average price is about $.05 each. Better terminals than you can get at most stores like HF. I went to lowes recently for terminals when I was in Florida. There terminals are good, but very pricey.

I have a large container full of all kinds of terminals, wire nuts, and electrical components.

We just made some lug terminals for an industrial company Fuel Cell tester. Had to carry 800Amps. Bought a pallet load of 2"x3" copper bars (over $ 4k, IIRC) and custom machined them to fit the cables and relays. You should have seen the scrap guy's eyes light up when he walked into our shop and saw (2) 5 gallon buckets of copper chips. And no, he didn't get them. :lol: Those will pay for a nice company pizza party. :wink:
