Brass repair?

I have been working on my 45 year old Yale. New brake master cylinder and a new lift cylinder packing. As I was replacing the throttle linkage I saw that the arm on the throttle body that the linkage rod goes into is worn through and about to release the rod. I removed the arm and it is brass. I thought that I would bolt a piece of steel onto it but perhaps I should solder another piece of brass to it?

if it is a large enough piece to braze remove it fill the hole full of brass, shape it with a grinder or file then rebore the hole

Braze it shut with Sil-Fos, then drill a new hole.

It will be safer to do than with brass, because of it's lower melting point, but is HARD and wears well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I got it done this AM, so that was before your post Bob. I had never brazed before, and it is not pretty but it works. I had some brass filler rod that had been lying around for about five years. I didn't know if needed to be clean like in soldering copper so I soaked it in phosphoric acid for a little while. I tried OA first and melted the part a little, then I tried propane but not hot enough. So I went back to the OA turned down some, and dribbled the brass rod onto it and it stood up to drilling and testing the lift truck out for awhile.
