I asked a question in November about the feed motor on my planer and got some very helpful advice. I went ahead and glued the magnets back in with epoxy last week since I didn't have anything to lose by trying. I plugged the motor into the controller and it seemed to be running normally. I put it back in place with the belt mounted and it still runs but cuts out often, maybe 5-10 times per minute at what seem to be random intervals. It will stop and then almost instantly start again. I am wondering if there is a way with a cheap digital multimeter to test the output of the control box and determine if the problem is more likely to be in the motor or the box. The motor is not blowing fuses anymore, it just keeps cutting in and out. Any advice will be much appreciated. The motor is 90 VDC, 1/6 HP. The link is to the previous thread about this motor. Any advice will be much appreciated.

Just test the output of the control box to see if the output is steady or zero when the motor quits.

yep either the voltage is dropping off going into the motor or the brushes maybe?
