Weather resistant push pull switch

Is there such a creature anymore? I have a tractor with battery ignition that takes a push pull switch for the ignition. I want to keep it looking factory so this is the type of switch I will use. Been through three cheap Chinese switches since last spring. If the switch is rained on it doesn't make contact anymore. It just happened again. I know where to look on the net for a switch through good reputable sources but Im asking you guys first. Thanks Jim

You may be able to find a military standard toggle switch with a boot that would be weather resistant, but doubt that you would find a weather resistant push-pull switch.

Just my opinion.

Tell me about it. Trying to find a switch for lighting that lasts is
about impossible. My tractors are all inside! Honestly, I would
look on eBay for a working original. It would outlast you.

I was telling myself I'll even pay $20.00 for a good one. The Cole Hersee switch is $19.32. LOL looks like it has an O ring on the stem and a gasketed case.

I have a battery cut off switch on the back of my 1966 Fairlane that is mounted outside the frame rail and behind the rear tire. I have driven it on the street to cruise-ins and got rained on and it never blinked. Search Summit or Jeg's. But I am sure they are over $20.

I agree with the marine application. Another thing that helps prevent electrical problems is to disconnect a battery cable when stored outside. If water does get into a connection it won't react as bad with the cable disconnected.
