HF free gift

Went to HF the other day and they gave me a free flash light. One you can hang in the closet. It has many bright LED's.

Well today, I hung it on my bibs while I was replacing a switch in bathroom. I have many different kinds of flash lights, but this one is the greatest. Hands free, put the light where I needed it. Have to say, it's the best gift I've gotten from HF.

I got one of those freebies at their Valdosta, Ga. store yesterday. Have you tried one of the strap on headlamps? I used one hanging a couple of ceiling fans the other day. They're the cat's meow. TDF

Those little flashlights are great. We have a half dozen at various places in the house and one in each vehicle.

Every time I go by a HF store I stop in and spent a coupon.

I sent 3 of those strap-on headlights to my nephew in ND; he is going to use them during calving in March, as they will leave his hands free. He goes out and checks the herd about every 2 hours during the night when they start calving.

I don't like to pick up hay bales from the ground at night during the summer because we always have heavy dews.

However, sometimes I must. That LED light on the forehead strap is a tremendous help locating the bales, stacking them on the wagon, and stacking them in the barn after dark.

I love that little thing.

I was given a strap on light. It used the small very expensive batteries.
Before I could use, the batteries were dead. I pitched it.

I got one of their lights a couple years ago that has an LED front and another light on the end. It has a hanger hook on it and a magnet on the back. One of the handest things I have every got for free

I was just there last week, they gave me a magnetic tray to put parts in when you are fixing stuff.looks like a good idea for small parts etc.I have one of those lights .they are good.Ihavent used the drill driver yet,but have filled the organizer boxes some

Yup, and it's the most-used flashlight I own. I've tried the ones you put on the brim of a baseball cap, but I seldom if ever wear a baseball cap and if I do, it often happens that I can't fit it into whatever convoluted position I need to get my head in to see whatever it is that I needed the light for in the first place. One problem with a bachelor existence is that you don't have someone handy to hold the light most of the time, and they're a real lifesaver when you need both hands and need to see what you're doing all at the same time. The little lights mentioned in another reply with a magnet, a hook, and both a spotlight and a floodlight are also very handy--I've got them stashed at various places such as closets where running a line for a permanent light is a hassle or a hazard but you still need to see what's going on.

Those 12X12 magnetic trays are also the cats meow... I just about can not work under a hood with out a few of'em to help keep up with tools/nuts & bolts etc... They also stick to a tractor

I quit getting the flashlights and switched to the multimeters. I put one in each vehicle and have a stack of them in the shop. Give em to the kids to learn too.

That the light I'm talking about. I have many of the other gifts HF gives away, lights,
EVOM, tape measures, gloves.
This light is the best. Hang it off my bibs pocket.

I have a 20 ton press from HF. I put it on wheels. It paid for itself with one job. I had to rebuild the hyd pump on my jubilee and needed a bearing pressed on the wobble shaft.

It's one of those tools you don't need all the time, but when you do, it's handy. Needed it to press the U-joints out of a PTO shaft that was banged up.

My sons and I have two rules for shopping at Harbor Freight: never pay full price, and always get something free.

I personally like their mechanics gloves. You can usually find a coupon for $2.99 for them, plus the free gift.

I've also had good luck with their alkaline batteries. Kids use AA in their video games; can usually get a 48 pack for $5.99.
