I needed a new 3/8" ratchet, so selected one at Harbor Freight that has 3/8" drive on one side and 1/4" on the other side. It also has an extendable handle.

I'm thinking that with the handle extended, it would be easy to break something with the 1/4" drive. Time will tell.

i was shopping on the mac truck last week. ended up with a 3/4 inch drive breaker bar, 38 inches long. cant wait to break something with it!!

Use Impact, Drive Reducers down to 1/4 Drive. I guarantee you'll BUST every 1/4 Drive socket you have.

LOL !

Paid big money at Lowes for a KUBOLT 3/8 ratchet that has extendable handle then you are suppose to be able to rotate the handle and turn the socket in tight places . Worked about a week. Lowes will not replace it. Said I over extended it. (DUA BROKE IT)

Dept. store junk. Just before I retired 2 years ago the Snap On guy was looking through my tool box, said half my black handle screw drivers were made with fromeldyhide and were recalled, replaced them with new ones. Broke a castor wheel off my at least 35 year old creeper seat this summer, replaced it no charge. You get what you pay for.

I've bought a couple of cheapie 3/8 drive ratchets because the heads were smaller and allowed me to get into tighter places. Neither one has given up the ghost yet. I don't crank wrenches near as much as I used to though. In my humble opinion Craftsman is the absolute worst for longevity.Jim
