Attaching to cast iron

I want to attach an electric box to my bandsaw. The area is cast iron not accessible from the other side. I think it's about a 1/4 inch thick. What are the choices?

Silicon will hold it on . Just try to separate two surfaces stuck together with a decent bead of the stuff  As long as both surfaces are relatively flat there should be no trouble .

I also agree with Dusty......if you do a neat job it
will look like it was done at the factory.
Cast iron is very easy to drill and tap!

If you have enough room in the box to drill a couple holes, then a couple matching holes in the cast iron, tap for a fine thread, use short bolts and Loctite.

I know a guy that adds thing to machine tools and machining centers and he would drill and tap. You could probably do it dry.
