Hello,

Refrigerator freezer froze up. I opened it and pressed the door switch, fan was not running.
I checked for voltage going into the fan and I got no reading. HA! HA! I need a fan?
Put in a new fan NOT THE PROBLEM!!!!. This Samsung unit has a 2 minutes delay after you shut the door before the fan starts running@#$%^&* New one on me, AND the fan is 12VDC, another new one on me! Had the meter set on A.C. No wonder I got zero reading. So fans can be a/c or d/c%$$#@#%. By the way a new evaporator heater fix the problem for now,

Guido.

My wife came in and told me the George Forman grill quit. So I took it apart.I put the meter on the therm never got any continuity. So I threw it out the door when I threw it it broke. The next morning I wanted toast the darn thing wouldn't work. The ground fault kicked out. There wasn't anything wrong with the grill. Granddaughter turned the dial on the meter!

You didn't check the outlet for 120 vac first?

You never got continuity so you THREW the meter?

Or did you THROW the grill and IT broke?

Without checking the meter settings?

What made you think it would make toast the next morning if a) you tore it all apart and troubleshot it the previous night using a busted meter without fixing it or b) you threw it and it broke?

Pardon the skepticism but this entire post makes no sense.

My wife said the grill quit. I got the meter out.my granddaughter was beside me.I set the meter for continuity. Granddaughter turned dial. I didn't know it. I wasn't getting a reading on the meter. So I threw the grill out the door. Then the next morning I wanted toast. The toaster used the same GFI and it didn't work. Then I saw the GFI kicked out. Yes I should have checked the GFI.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. Mr. Small Engine Guy (me) took a carb all apart to find out what was wrong and THEN I checked the gas.............

It happens. Seems to happen more when I'm in a hurry.

My car trunk is full of lessons. Replaced parts that didn't fix it. At least, next time, I can diagnose simply by swapping out parts. Grrr

Hello Bret4207,

Just because you were in a hurry is no excuse YEA! it happened to me, but I was in a hurry HA! HA!............,

Guido.
