I bought a small Karcher pressure washer at a garage sale. New in the box, not damaged. The first time I used it the gun started leaking within 20 minutes. O-ring and backup rings failed and when I called about a warrantee I discovered it was already 15 years old. I bough a new valve part and it failed immediately exactly the same way. I emailed Karcher support and after some exchanges a nice lady from Dixie Sales called this morning. She is sending me a new, updated gun and hose, free of charge. One very satisfied customer here.

The cheap plastic electric Karcher pressure washers are JUNK right out of the box. I bought one once and the outlet nipple where the garden hose attaches cracked and started leaking when I attached the hose to it. It was so cheaply made that I don't know how anyone could have attached a garden hose to it without breaking it.

Every once in a while I take a look at the ones on the shelves, and they haven't changed them a bit.

I bought a DeWalt pressure washer 2 yrs ago. Right out of the box, the wand didn't work. Took it back and they tried to give me a generic replacement wand off the shelf. Said nope, they ended up opening another box to get a replacement. It's worked fine since but made me wonder about the quality of the part if it could be broken when it's brand new.
