These are the last batch I went through. There are also 2 20V Lithium , only one pack out of 2.
I have found out that most NiCad's packs 3 to 5 year old usually have just one bad cell. That cell is the one that has both sides of the circuit. So when a charger is connected, both + and - are connected to that cell. I don't know if that is the reason why it goes bad. An 18 Volt pack should have 20 volts or better fresh of the charger,
