Went to an Auction.....what kind of wrenches are these?

Hey guys....went to an Estate Auction yesterday. Nothing tractor related, but lots of tools, shop equipments, guns, etc. Mostly Harley Davidson Related stuff as the guy was an avid Antique HD collector.

Ended up buying a bunch (truck-bed) full of tools and in those I found these 2. Might be more of them but these are all I found so far.

Most of the guys tools were mixed, but they are all 95% USA made tools that I have seen so far (SK, Snap-on, Old Craftsman, Newer Craftsman, Williams, Proto, Mac, and a few other brands)

I've never seen an end wrench that looked like these so just curious what they might be called, special use?, or what brand? Wonder how old they are?

I'm probably wrong, but I'd take them to be early combination wrenches, without the slight angle current ones have.

RTR.

The real tool guys might disagree with this, but here goes.

I have some inexpensive, no-name tools that I bought back the 1950s. Many of the combination wrenches look just like those.

I think you just bought some old, generic combination wrenches.

But then, I could be 100% wrong.

Might have been includes with certain equipment back in the days when the manufacturers did such things because not many farmers had good tools back in the '30's and 40's.

Whatever brand they are, when I was a kid (50's n 60's) my Uncles and the Grandfather had the exact same kind and I still have one set I believe. Later the combination wrenches usually had an angle on the box end. I didn't like the old ones that much, they were too short for much torque and that flat box end wasn't so handy

The one with a hole looks just like my first wrenches from the early sixties. The set came with a holder that included a long screw and a wing nut to hold them in a stack.

Globemaster. I have a couple just like that that came from the Globemaster display at our old hardware store. Cheapies, but they work.

(quoted from post at 22:13:08 10/26/14) Never seen a combination wrench where the open end and box end were different sizes before.

I have a few wrenches like that. It allows you to have two of the same size with only one set of wrenches.

I had a bunch of them at Williamsfield tractor show.. Guys were snapping them up left and right.. When asked what's so great about these wrewnches??? Weld art was the answer.. Whooda thunk ??

They look like the cheap wrenches sometimes supplied with equipment in order to assemble it.
