I bought a Craftsman (lovingly called the Crapsman here) mower deck rebuild kit. It had the housings with the new bearings and new bolts for everything. The new blades and belt was also in the kit. Looked like a hour job when I started about ten. Nine bolts needed to come out that went thru the deck. I tried to get everyone out without cutting the heads off. Ended up cutting all but two that twisted off before rounding the heads. Got done a little after twelve. Still trying to figure out why I didn't just cut the heads of to start with. A little rest and I'll stick it under the Crapsman and give it a try.
I don't do a lot of mowing with it. I use it to trim around the horse lot fences and close to the house. It is my chore tractor that I pull a trailer with feed, water and hay out to the horses. It is also my ride rather than a wheelchair or walker.
