Question for CH(upstate,NY)

In the archives you were having trouble with Homelite 410 bar oiling. Neither automatic or manual pump worked. Did you get it figured out?
I have a saw coming that has exact same problem.

I seem to remember that. I don't think I fixed it. I had another problem with that saw. The plastic liner in the gas tank started breaking apart and leaking. I had another 410 I got off ebay for $50 and took the 2 saws and made one good one.

I'd buy a brand new one if you could get parts. I bought that 1st one 33 years ago and ran it hard. I prefer the old heavy low speed high power saws to the new high speed saws.

Thank you for the reply. Message was a few years old. You said you had a few Homelites and I was hoping you found the problem with yours.
Seems odd to me both pumps quit at the same time on my friends saw. Professional shop won't touch it due to perceived lack of parts so I said I would look at it. I downloaded the IPL at chainsawr.com so I have an idea how it is put together.
