Getting gas, spark. Drained fuel bowl after trying to start, with many pulls, ether carb cleaner. Gas that was drained was awful yellow. No more than month or so to start. Kept saying pull it out and start but many chores. My fault. How do you check low oil sensor, one wire? Thanks, Dave

If you are getting spark. I don't think it will be the sensor. Since most brands use the sensor to kill the ignition. Most likely plugged carb.

Plugged main jet. Might get it out without taking carb off, but other orifices probably need to be cleaned also. Spray carb cleaner works good for me, and maybe a set of torch nozzle cleaners.

My generator did the same thing. Carb plugged with old gas. Got lucky, left it set with new gas in it for a couple hours, disolved the plug and started.

Have you tried pouring a little gas in the carburetor? That's the first thing I do, and I use mixed gas that I have for 2-strokes. The oil will lubricate the top of the engine and give you a little better compression for better starting. Then put some Sea-foam in the gas!

Don't know if your local NAPA carries it, but our stores carry a spray carb cleaner called Berkebile (sp.?)2+2 that is some nasty stuff!! Nitrile gloves run away at this stuff.

The 2 cycle mixture works best for me. I have an squirting oil can that I keep some in and by using the oil can, I don't spill over the engine trying to hit the spark plug hole! 2-3 squirts and it usually work.
