I have a Sears 1/3 HP (not sure of the model but I can check) garage door opener that's driving me nuts.
It's just stopping for no reason, up or down. If it stops enough times (when you just keep hitting the button) the whole unit seems to turn it's self off, the light on the wired button goes off and the lights on the safety eyes go out as well. I have to kill the power to it, let it sit for a second, then power it back up to get in going again.
It has it's fits in spurts too, I went weeks with out a hitch and today it stopped ever 3 inches!
There's nothing fetching up, I can unhook the door and run it up and down with no problem and it will stop even with the door unattached.
It's not the eyes, the door reverses when you brake the signal, this is just stopping.
It also suppose to blinks it lights to give you a code to tell you what's going on, that's not happening either.
I have two of them and my other one hasn't give me a lick of trouble.
Any ideas?
K
