Magnum 001 Tire Changer

I recently purchased an old Magnum 001 tire changer. It works well but will not break down the top bead. It just slips off the side of the tire because there is nothing on mine to keep the vertical arm from pushing away from the rim as it goes down. After looking at some pictures I realized that it was missing the piece I circled in red in the photo I attached. It hooks on the rim so it won't slip off the tire and not dismount it. Does anyone have a tire changer like this lying around for parts or know where I could get this part? Or does it look like I'm going to have to make it? :? Thanks for any and all help!

Be careful with that piece, they break aluminum rims. Some of the older coats were designed like that.
 
You might want to find out who the manufacturer was. The name Magnum isn't a company I am familiar with. There are also other brands like Coates that might work with a little modifications. Just my thoughts, Keith
 

Thanks everyone! I will see if I can find one from a Coats and modify it. I'm just going to be using it on steel wheels but it won't work at all the way it is. Thanks again.
