duff barrett railroad jack

I recently acquired an old jack from under a house. After cleaning it up some I know I have missing levers to lower it. Actually, 2 are in place and 1 is missing. I have drilled out broken bolts and freshened up all threads. The plate that covers the levers is missing but I think I can make one fairly easily. I don't have the model # because the plate is missing and others that I have looked at on the net have the model # on the cover plate. Mine is a 5 ton jack and has X200 cast on the stand. Does anyone out there have one of these? Would that someone be willing to post a picture of his with the cover plate on and off? Thanks, Ellis

Back in the '70's , I worked in a rental yard , and we rented those heavy sob's I sure hated loading them !!

I copied the header and entered it into the address line and came up with pics. If you choose any, more pics appear. is one of these like yours? maybe post a pic of the real mccoy. i have two now............

Hi Chuck, thanks for the reply. I tried to e-mail you but I couldn't attach a picture through the YT setup. I hope you go back to my original post. This is a picture of my jack. As you can see I am missing a lever and the cover plate. I don't know what the other lever looks like. I can make the cover plate. Some jacks that I have looked at on e-bay have the release mechanism on the cover plate. Mine has a release lever that hangs out the bottom. model # is 18 A Thanks, Ellis
