little propane cyl

I made a little wood burning stove out of a 20 pounder last month. The smallest can be made into a small air bottle for dirt bike and bicycle use- or extra loud horn. Milton 762 part number sticks in my mind as the air fill valve and hose fitting kit. Propane torch bottle made into a demonstration stove at motorcycle rally- fit into saddlebag, warm the tent a bit, did heat some water in pan with a few sticks. a double barreled rig was mentioned but not seen. Built a collector (exhaust) out of an old 5 pound
fire extinguisher once. Had a Ski Doo 503 cc in an
old Ariens snowmobile. Used four rotary mower
wheels in place of each ski. Got drunk on Cider and wrecked it.

Sorry for getting off track.

What size is "little"? I have many 1#, lantern/lamp size.

Somewhere long ago I bought a adapter to refill them from a
20# er. Just lay the larger tank on it's side and open both
valves. Granted, you can't fill the 1# completely. But cost
effective.

BTW, adapter won't work with newer 20# tanks (valve).

Did the same thing and got the adapter. And it;s worked fine with my new style OPD tanks.

Go to the I-Forge-Iron forum. Among other information they show you how to make a l.p. forge from a 20# L.P. bottle. They work!!

Cut crossways makes a cup. Inverted and riveted to a
perforated piece of exhaust pipe, makes a
replacement for air intake for my tractor which I
have had to replace a couple times, after knocking
previous one off and plowing it under.

after a few beverages this happened

Gotta be talking about the 1 pounders. 20 pounders can be refilled or exchanged if they're past their "due date."

I have a brand new pre-OPD cylinder that has never been used and I've been thinking about turning it into a small gas grill.

I have filled 100's of'em I pick up every empty I can get my hands on. The only issue I have had is if you over fill them they may spit liquid when you first use them. I weigh them and can estimate the time it takes to get a good fill...

One of my little projects I am working on is to adapt one to run a car with a dead fuel pump so I can drive it into the shop...
