My FIL was an old-time farmer and I found these with his tire irons. Or are they for something else?

I'm already getting old, 65 tomorrow. I knew you guys would know what they were. I just used them this week to change a tire on my hay rake. Check my post on tractor talk for pics

I put that on a couple years ago, got tired of straightening the old one. Have a low wet spot to cross and with SWMBO driving she could never catch on to where to stop so I could raise the chute. Put the new one on and doncha know, first round she does it again.

The bottom one, for split rims, looks like the one I borrowed from the Army in 1967. I wonder if they want it back?

Only man killer if you do not know what your doing. I have worked with those tools for decades and still walk and talk and would do one today if I needed to

I have one like the bottom but never knew what the bends were for. Never changed a tire like that. It probably came with Gradnpa's 28 Wippet car. And 25 days till I hit the 71 mark.

I think that bottom one was actually for the true split rim not so much for lock rings even tho it works good for them.

You had to fit a bar in between to dimples to start it and then I believe the bent end caught a notch to finish taking it apart.

YEP!, those are tire irons. The one on the bottom, narrow end with the bends (on the right) is good for removing the lock-rings on split-rim wheels.

Still use mine, YES, I still use split-rim wheels. LOL!

Doc :>)

The bottom one is actually a gib key puller, but we used it for a tire iron, too. Not many machines have gib keys, but new holland used to use them a lot. Last one I saw was in a 488 haybine roll.
