spybot

I"ve used Spybot-Search & Destroy for years. It has always done a great job. When I ran it today it located adware that has been causing problems, but it won"t remove it because it says I am not the administrator. I can"t locate settings anywhere in its screens. I"m stumped and need to get to my files. Has anybody had this problem with Spybot?

When I right click to run spybot it gives me the option to run as the administrator.

Woodbutcher: assuming you're running a Windows computer, are you running it from an account that has administrator privileges? If not, you need to be--otherwise, Spybot won't be able to remove the software.
