I have this Maximat V 10 metal lathe. Its not working and appears
to be an electrical switch issue. Looks good and everything is free
and spinning. I have no Idea of its value. I am looking to sell as a
whole for parts or to fix. Any Idea on its value?

The sum of the parts will almost always be worth more than the whole. That said, smaller,'off brand', lathes like that are a dime a dozen now days. If I was looking I wouldn't give more than $500 to $600 for it if it was running, and maybe $450 knowing about, and just guessing at, the problem.

For comparison on prices, I just recently missed an 18", gap bed, Supermax lathe, that had everything with it but a chuck, that went for $1,500 at a local auction. I've seen others similar to it go for $2,500 or less all day long from surplus machinery dealers, and at other auctions. Heck I lucked out and got a 5 HP Supermax vertical and horizontal mill, along with various accessories that are going for around $7,000, from a state surplus site for $1600 a few years back.

In the end it's worth only what someone will be willing to pay you for it, especially someone buying it in a non running condition with no real idea what the actual problem is. I mean it could be a $10 switch, or a $500 drive motor, but you won't know until the repair is made.

Good luck selling it.
