Atlas/Clausing metal lathe value

Can anyone tell me what I should expect to pay for an old 4800 series (4804 to be exact) 12" x 36"? Everything looks reasonably tight and solid except the lateral travel lock is broken (under where the bolt goes through). Looks to be a 5 or 6" 3 jaw chuck with a 3/4" (I think)spindle throat. The usual things like rust/wear makes it difficult to read any of the graduations but the bed seems smooth and all the movements seem smooth. It comes with a steady rest but it isn't the correct one for this machine (about 2" too tall). Over all I think it just needs some TLC.

FWIW, a NICE one sold for $200.00 at a local estate sale a couple of weeks ago. The seller was looking for 12-15 hundred, but accepted an offer of $300.00 later in the day!

Bought similar size mint Atlas (12 x 36, quick change thread box) 8 years ago for $600.00; included 3 jaw, 4 jaw, faceplate w/dogs, taper, numerous indicators, steady rest, bunch of tailstock centers/Jacobs/Morse drill chucks. Friend just bought one a few weeks ago, some wear, 3 jaw only, nothing else for $285.00 from son of decedant.

Check for "backlash" on all dials. 5 to 20 thousands is close to normal wear. Check the ways for wear especially close to chuck. Also remove any covers and check for broken teeth on gears.
Tooling is expensive, and sometimes hard to find.
I paid $1K for an 11" x 36" Logan lathe with four chucks, steady rest, follow rest, Lathe vise and a lot of tooling.

I paid 1 k for my metric 12" x 80" TOS came with steady rest and 3 and 4 jaw chuck and all the gearing to cut every tread imaginable.
Also has a removable bed
