Homier tools

Been reading much about Harbor Freight tools.
I bought an air nailer and a winch from a traveling Homier sales set up.
These two have been a real workhorse for several years and no trouble.
I bought a Chicago winch from Harbor Freight. It works, but gets real hot.
The wind up runs faster than the pay out.
My Homier winch doesn't get hot and runs the same both ways.
I see Homier now has a website.

I guess its buyer beware. Some are good, some are bad.

I bought one of their 4" angle grinders. Used it with a wire brush for stripping paint. Actually used it for that for several hours before it literally fell apart on Dad, the housing broke off just above the switch, the only thing holding the switch and motor together were the wires.

I also have a 4 x 6 metal bandsaw that has worked well for several years now.

With any tools you can buy two of the exact models and each will work different. Harbor Freight is no different. I bought one of their power washers and it worked well until I managed to leave it outside last winter and it froze. I bought another a couple of weeks ago and it doesn't have near the same pressure even with the old one leaking. The nice thing about Harbor Freight though is they will accept the tools back with no hassle.
