Making Krout

Just want to share our annual Krout making. We have been doing this each year for over 25 years. This is my 2 year old Granddaughter helping out.

Two crocks worth 18 gallon. All of my Kids and Grandkids enjoy the project and they even eat it. Heck, my dog likes it, if it is cooked.

Looks fine fun, Tom. There's no comparison between homemade sauerkraut and the canned stuff.

Our cat even liked kraut - we'd give him a wad of it right out of the jar. (We always thought it was because it smelled a little like a dead mouse! :wink: We also have a picture of him chewing on a ear of sweet corn in the garden.)
