Tractor losing power

I have a 1961 John Deere 1010 that I have owned for 8 years. I use it mostly to pull a rotary mower. The tractor usually starts and runs fine for about 45 mins and then it starts to lose power and stalls out. If I let the tractor set for a while it will run again but then the same thing happens again usually in 10 to 15 mins. Any ideas or suggestions on the problem and/or how to correct?

It sounds like it might be starving for fuel.
Check the tank outlet for being plugged and replace the fuel filters.
Vacuum in the Tank causes fuel starving too,..check the tank filler cap vent for being open.

Before you start it the first time for the day check the spark and make sure it is a good blue/white and will jump a 1/4 inch gap or more. Then run it. When it dies recheck the spark and make sure it is still that good blue white and will jump the 1/4 inch gap. That way you have a way to compare the spark so you know if it is a spark problem.

ever dawned on me it could be a gasser.
Could be a bad coil or condenser.

All i have is diesels,..i got no use for gas jobs.
